Do you love the work of artists like Clarice Beckett, Rosalie Gascoigne and Elisabeth Cummings? In this workshop Joe will help us to understand the mysteries of tone and colour. He will show us how to interpret the landscape and create a strong composition using tone.
Joe’s paintings and drawings straddle the divide between an immediate response to landscape in his plein-air works and a more considered exploratory approach in his studio works. He is an astute, articulate and generous teacher who combines broad-ranging art knowledge with his own highly individual vision. This workshop will be landscape based and focus on colour, mark and spatial relationships. He uses process to help you to arrive at your own unique response to the landscape.
