Bay and Basin Community Resources (BBCR) Shed volunteers Dave, John, Mick and Chris with one of the Bherwerre wetlands art panels. There are 12 panels in total and BBCR have been working in partnership with local schools, Shoalhaven City Council and artist Vanessa Barbay to complete the works.
I was honored to attend the Bherwerre Wetlands Art Project Launch Day. Brad slaughter from the Bay and basin resources celebrated the collaboration from the schools, community groups as well as the individuals involved in developing the idea and providing expertise.

A highlight was when a rare whistling kite flew over the celebration. It provided a beautiful moment linking the ceremony, newly painted image of the kite, artists, supporters and Vincentia high school indigenous dancers.
